Robert was born in Brooklyn, New York. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Fairfield University in 1973 and his Juris Doctor from St. Johns University School of Law in 1976.
He was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 1976, the New York Bar in 1977, and the Federal District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York in 1977.
He is a member of the New York State, the Nassau County and Suffolk County Bar Associations. He is the director of the Nassau-Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association and a member of the New York State Medical Defense Bar Association.
As an attorney, he is a lecturer to medical, legal and insurance industry groups on topics within his expertise.
